Grand Brulot is hand-crafted by the Tardy family on their estate located in the Cognac region of France. Cellar master Christoph Tardy a fifth-generation Cognac producer meticulously selects the finest ‘eaux de vie’ to craft a unique VSOP Cognac which is blended with Ecuadorean 100% Robusta coffee beans selected for their concentrated richness. The blend is then aged in French oak barrels to allow the melding of flavor notes over time. Reviving an 18th century french tradition through a unique and masterful infusion of premium vsop cognac with rich robusta coffee.

Grand Brulot revives a 200 plus year old French tradition where rich Coffee was blended with Cognac to create an exquisite tasting drink: The Brulôt. The legend of Café Brûlot extends back to New Orleans in the early 1800s and the infamous Jean Lafitte. Whether or not the French pirate actually created the first pairing of café and cognac is a question that may never be answered. But the legend absolutely lives in today’s after-dinner Café Brûlot tradition in the finest French Quarter restaurants.

GRAND BRULOT BLACK MANHATTAN

  • 1 oz Grand Brulot
  • 1 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 3 dashes orange bitters

In a mixing glass stir all of the ingredients together. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass with ice or serve up. Garnish with an orange twist and two cocktail cherries.

GRAND BRULOT OLD FASHIONED

The Old Fashioned developed during the 19th century and was given its name in the 1880’s. The Old Fashioned is one our favourite cocktails and we wanted to create a Grand Brulot variant by adding the elegant and savoury flavours of Cognac and Coffee to it.

  • 60ml of GB
  • (or 30ml GB and 30ml Bourbon)
  • 5 ml of Sugar
  • 2 Dashes of Whisky barrel bitters

Gradually stir the liquid
and sugar then strain it.

GRAND BRULOT COFFEE SAZERAC

It all began for the Sazerac cocktail in the early 1800’s
when Antoine Amédée Peychaud mixed Cognac with his
Peychaud bitters. In 1859 the drink was the signature
drink of the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans,
where it received its name. Our is a tribute with a coffee
twist evolves one of the most elegant Cognac cocktails
out there.

  • 25ml Cognac
  • 25 ml GB
  • 2 dashes of Peychaud bitters
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitter
  • 1 bar spoon of sugar

Stir gently the ingredients together.
Pour in a rock glass and add
an orange twist.
